Miss Gardner, Mr. Allen to wed at First Methodist

Dr. and Mrs. James Austin Gardner of Eufaula announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Anne Gardner, to William Austin Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Allen of Brentwood, Tenn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hudson Lamb of Cottonwood and Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Austin Gardner of Auburn.

Miss Gardner is a 2003 graduate of Eufaula High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.  She is employed by Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fischer of Fort Worth, Texas and Mrs. Clarice Mildred Allen of Columbia, Tenn. and the late Mr. Donald Wayne Allen.

Mr. Allen is a 2004 graduate of Brentwood High School and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.  He is employed by Ashford Advisors in Birmingham. 

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 20, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Eufaula. 

A reception will follow at the Shorter Mansion.
