The sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Eufaula provided the setting for the celebration and blessing of the marriage of Katherine Anne Gardner and William Austin Allen.

The Reverend Dr. Alvin Norris Harbour presided over the ceremony, which was held June 20, at 6 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Austin Gardner of Eufaula. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Austin Gardner of Auburn and Mr. and Mrs. James Hudson Lamb of Cottonwood.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Allen of Brentwood, Tenn. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fischer of Fort Worth, Texas, and of Mrs. Clarice Mildred Allen of Columbia, Tenn. and the late Mr. Donald Wayne Allen.

Chelsea Ann Lilly of Georgetown, Ind., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Morgan Nix of Dothan, Ashley Elizabeth Bailey of Greenville, S.C., Natalie Anne Bailey, Lauren Waters Rice, Stephanie Anne Hawkins and Hayden Blake Headley, all of Birmingham, Elizabeth Kay Elsea and Leah Ann Elsea of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Anna Gregory Fiser of Madison, Miss.

Flower girls were Margaret Ann White and Mary Helen White of Eufaula. Rebecca Ann Hart and Anna Lee Harris of Eufaula served as program and book attendants.

James Chandler Allen and Matthew Parker Allen of Brentwood, Tenn. served as best men. Groomsmen were John Austin Gardner of Georgetown, Ind., James David Gardner and Andrew LaDon Golden of Auburn, Ryan Jordan Boyens of Nashville, Tenn., Kevin Christopher Collins of Knoxville, Tenn., Frank Patrick Doman of Franklin, Tenn., Robert Tyler Ogard of Birmingham and Andrew Jonathan Seale of Moulton.

Walter Jackson Garner, Jr. of Birmingham was the ring bearer.

Jason Louis Orme of Auburn read from scripture. Shelby Elizabeth Cole of Eufaula served as crucifer and Asa Jackson Harris and James Ashton Johnson of Eufaula were acolytes.

Musicians for the ceremony were Ann Balkcom Mitchell of Eufaula, organist; Beth Parker Mason of Montgomery, violinist; Cathy Steele Taylor of Eufaula, vocalist; and Jason Scott Thorne of Birmingham, vocalist. Kim Watson Harris of Eufaula served as director and Jane Teal Nix of Eufaula served as coordinator of the wedding.

A reception was held at Shorter Mansion. After a honeymoon trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will reside in Pelham.
