Miss Ross, Mr. Hudson will wed next month

Mrs. Loria Ross of Clayton is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Reba Ross, to Daniel Hudson, the son of Bishop Larry Hudson, Sr. and Bishop Overseer Gloria Hudson of Birmingham.

Miss Ross is a native of Barbour County where she attended Baker Hill K-8 School. She graduated from Barbour County High School in 2004 as class valedictorian.

She also prepped in volleyball and basketball. She received a basketball scholarship to Birmingham-Southern University where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She currently teaches fifth grade at Adamsville Elementary School in Birmingham but plans to continue her basketball career. She and her prospective groom will be playing in France this summer.

Mr. Hudson is a graduate of West End High School in Birmingham and attended Southern Union College. He also received his bachelor’s degree from Birmingham-Southern.

The wedding will be held Saturday, July 11, at Birmingham-Southern College Yeilding Chapel, 900 Arkadelphia Road, Birmingham, at 2 p.m.

A reception will follow and all family and friends are invited to attend.
