Miss Solomon,  Mr. Kilpatrick will wed in July

Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Solomon of Troy announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Carol Solomon, to Anthony Lee Kilpatrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kilpatrick of Troy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos C. Pierce of Andalusia, and of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy C. Solomon of Ozark and Mrs. W.A. Waller and the late Mr. W.A. Waller of Andalusia.

Ashley is a graduate of The Lakeside School and Troy University.

She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and is currently in the graduate program at Troy University.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Jim Evans and the late Mr. Jim Evans of Troy. He is a graduate of Pike County High School and Enterprise-Ozark Community College.

Anthony is a sergeant and veteran in the Alabama Army National Guard, where he has received various medals, including the Army Commendation Medal. He has an associate’s degree and is currently attending Troy University.

He is employed with Sikorsky Aircraft.

The wedding will be July 4 at 6:30 p.m. at The Old House at Meriwether in Lapine.
