Set against a backdrop of early spring dogwoods and azaleas, Eufaula is famous for its tour of historic homes.

And while several gardens are often included on this tour, Friends of Fendall Hall will bring Eufaula’s beautiful gardens into the spotlight at the first Eufaula Garden Festival on May 16.

The event will feature 12 beautiful private gardens in full summer bloom. Roses, daylilies, annuals, Confederate jasmine, hydrangeas and magnolias will overwhelm the senses with color and fragrance.

“This will be the first opportunity for you to visit these gardens during this magical time,” a Friends of Fendall Hall spokesperson states. “Several of the gardens have never been open to the public before.”

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 16. Tickets for admission to all of the gardens can be purchased for $20 through May 8. After that, tickets will be $25.
