Sinkhole repairs could take two weeks

Portion of U.S. 431 closed near Barbour-Henry line
According to Trooper Kevin Cook, a spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers, both northbound lanes near the Lawrenceville community, just north of Abbeville, are closed after a sinkhole 8 feet in diameter and 20 feet deep developed.

Eufaula could receive Friday snow
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a winter storm watch from late Thursday night through Friday afternoon for much of central Alabama, including Eufaula and Barbour County.
