$20K believed stolen in Hanners case

Eufaula Police Lt. Steve Hanners has been charged with stealing approximately $20,000 in seized drug money.
Hanners served as commander of the narcotics division under Special Operations. He was also supervisor for the SWAT team.

Eufaulians were glad to see the sun emerge on Wednesday after several days of gray skies and constant rain. Monday night brought the most severe part of the storm into the Bluff City. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain moved into town just before 5 p.m., leaving motorists caught in the storm as they traveled home from work.
