$20K believed stolen in Hanners case
Eufaula Police Lt. Steve Hanners has been charged with stealing approximately $20,000 in seized drug money.
Hanners served as commander of the narcotics division under Special Operations. He was also supervisor for the SWAT team.
School central office renovations underway
Renovations to the Eufaula City School central office are nearing completion.
Tribune editor injured in auto wreck
Eufaula Tribune managing editor Patrick Johnston was hospitalized in Dothan on Saturday after suffering a broken arm and other injuries in an serious auto accident near Hwy 431 and Westgate Parkway in Dothan.

BCHS teacher charged with sexual abuse
A Barbour County High School teacher has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a student, according to Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw.
Upshaw shares with city employees
Courtney Upshaw might be bound for the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. this January, but he hasn’t forgotten his roots.

Rain, rain go away…
Eufaulians were glad to see the sun emerge on Wednesday after several days of gray skies and constant rain. Monday night brought the most severe part of the storm into the Bluff City. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain moved into town just before 5 p.m., leaving motorists caught in the storm as they traveled home from work.
