‘Christmas Child’ drop-off deadline Monday

Barbour County residents have a chance to make a child overseas smile this Christmas.

SouthPoint Church in Eufaula is collecting Operation Christmas Child “shoeboxes” for kids in other countries. SouthPoint is the drop-off point for all churches in Barbour County to send their Operation Christmas Child boxes to.

Phyllis Saxon, the event coordinator at SouthPoint, said that 19 churches from the Barbour County area submitted approximately 1,043 Christmas shoeboxes to SouthPoint last year.

The drop-off deadline at SouthPoint is Monday from 8 - 10 a.m.
