Mrs. Dennard turns 94
April 11 was a special day for Mrs. Veola Dennard and her family as they celebrated her 94th birthday with a surprise party held at the old Baker Hill School in Baker Hill.
The celebration was given by her son, Leonard Richardson of Auburn and her daughters Bennie Richardson Thomas of Eufaula and Viola Richardson Roberson of Syracuse, N.Y.
Her grandchildren also helped with the festivities.
Mrs. Dennard also had many friends from her church and from the surrounding area that attended the birthday party. She even had some friends from Tampa, Fla. at the party.
Many spoke of the love and kindness that she shares with anyone who crosses her path.
Mrs. Dennard was thankful for the surprise and thanked God that she was able to share this special day with those she loves.
Her daughter, Bennie, said of her mother, “She is a woman blessed with health, home and strength.”
