Marigold to fight infection
Marigold flowers are not only bright and pretty. They keep harmful bugs at bay in the garden.
But they are also great for fighting infection in the human body. Here’s a quick recipe in which marigold blooms are used to combat yeast infection:
Cut the heads off of several marigold flowers. Boil two cups of water. Steep marigold blooms in boiling water using a “tea ball.” Soak a washcloth in the marigold tea and apply to infected area for 15 minutes.

Rose hip tea
Roses are the pride and joy of every gardener. But what happens when those elegant blooms wither?
The plant’s fruit, or “rose hips,” can be brewed into a tea to soothe sore throats, cold and flu.
Soak two cups of rose hips in eight cups of water overnight. Strain. Heat liquid and drink. This tea is very high in Vitamin C.
