Miss Monk, Mr. Dunn announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Monk of Clayton are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Monk, to Brady Waldon Dunn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Dunn of Troy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Alice Monk and Larry Monk of Dothan, and of Mary Sexton and the late Roscoe Sexton of Glenwood.

Lauren is a 2006 graduate of Dixie Academy in Louisville and a senior at Troy University majoring in elementary education. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority and several honor societies.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brady of Troy and the late Alton Lamar Dunn and the late Eloise Renfroe and William Renfroe, all of Banks.

Brady is a 2003 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts School in Troy and received an associate of science degree in forestry from Lurleen B. Wallace College. He is employed with the State of Alabama Forestry Commission as a forest ranger.

The wedding is planned for March 7 at 5 p.m. at the Clayton United Methodist Church. The reception will be held at the Octagon House in Clayton immediately following the ceremony.
