Couple will wed June 20

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Dykes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Heather, to Dustin Blaine Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Holder of Monroeville and Mr. Gordon Bruce of Enterprise.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Dykes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Heather, to Dustin Blaine Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Holder of Monroeville and Mr. Gordon Bruce of Enterprise.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Odell Dykes and the late Mrs. Tommy Mae Dykes of Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jones of Brundidge.

Miss Dykes is a 2005 graduate of Dixie Academy and recently graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Sibley McKenzie of Monroeville, Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Holder of Monroeville, Mr. and Mrs. Mef Law of Enterprise and Mr. and Mrs. Helms Bruce of Enterprise. He is a 2004 graduate from Monroe Academy and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance and was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity.

The couple will be moving to Fort Worth, Texas where Mr. Bruce will begin Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to obtain his master’s of divinity.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 20, at 6 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Louisville. A reception will follow at the bride’s parents’ home. All friends and family are invited to attend.
