A/C unit stolen from church
A central air conditioning unit was reported stolen Saturday from the Seventh Day Adventist Church on North Eufaula Avenue.
The unit was valued at $1,500. The offenders reportedly left a hammer on the scene.
Two Dewalt hand drills ($150), a self-propelled lawnmower ($200), car paint gun ($100), three rods and reels ($300) and Dewalt grinder ($100) were reported stolen Aug. 12-15 from a Sanford Avenue location.
A window unit air-conditioner ($300) and microwave ($500) were reported stolen from a State Docks location last Wednesday or Thursday.
Two packs of “Naomi Super Bulk” were reported stolen from a State Docks Road apartment Thursday.
A Kenwood KDC-322 with CD player ($300) was stolen from 1997 Toyota Tacoma parked at a Hill Ricks Road location Thursday.
Approximately $5 in change was also stolen at the same location.
A German shepherd/ labrador mix K-9 ($100) was reported stolen Sunday from a Thrash Lane residence Sunday. A suspect has been named.
Two pairs of Fruit of the Loom t-shirts ($12) and five packages of ankle socks ($40) were reported stolen from Dollar General Friday.
Two cans of Grizzly wintergreen tobacco ($3.96) were reported stolen Friday from the downtown Piggly Wiggly.
A package of Reese’s Fast Break candy (99 cents) was reported stolen from the Piggly Wiggly on South Eufaula Avenue Sunday. The suspect, a 43-year-man, was confronted by store management just a few aisles from where he allegedly stole the candy.
Counterfeit money
A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at Downtown BP between Thursday night and Friday morning.
Criminal mischief
Two U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary signs ($400) were reported damaged Aug. 9-14 at a Beams Street location.
Leaving scene
Leaving the scene of an accident was reported at a Paul Lee Parkway location between Friday night and Saturday morning. A 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier ($1,500) was reported damaged. Somebody allegedly backed into the victim’s vehicle before fleeing.
Traffic report
The Eufaula Police Department reported 48 total arrests between Thursday and Monday mornings, including 37 traffic arrests. There were 8 for speeding, 7 for no proof of insurance, 4 each for suspended license and no driver’s license, 3 for no child restraint, 2 for driving under the influence and 1 each for running a stop sign, revoked license, pedestrian under the influence, improper tag and loud music.
Police also investigated eight accidents.
