Man arrested for burglary
A Eufaula man was arrested and charged with burglary third degree and theft of property second degree Wednesday.
Derrick D. Thomas, 20, of 82 Jackson St. was charged for an incident reported last month from a Stevenson Street resident after the owner found someone had removed a stove ($250), refrigerator ($888), bed ($200), two air conditioners ($900), an antique sewing machine, three televisions, two pictures, radio, two car tires, hedge clippers, shovel, three additional AC units and a wall mirror from the residence between Sept. 15 and Oct. 17.
Miscellaneous
Cynthia Glover Wallace, 49, of 47 Hwy. 30 was arrested Tuesday and charged with failure to appear on a previous charge of possession of and receiving a controlled substance.
Gregory Anderson, 40, of 113 Triangle Lane in Eufaula was arrested Tuesday and charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was caught shoplifting 11 packs of chewing tobacco ($37).
A State Docks Road resident reported someone threw a cement rock through the victim’s vehicle window while it was parked outside the victim’s residence Tuesday night.
A Bush Drive resident reported criminal mischief and discharging a firearm inside the city limits after a listed offender reportedly fired a gun at the victim’s residence, hitting the mailbox. The incident occurred Wednesday morning.
Property thefts
Piggly Wiggly reported attempted theft of a pack of chewing gum ($3.55) by a juvenile occurring Tuesday.
A 22-caliber revolver was reported stolen from a Oakland Avenue residence Tuesday.
A Motorola Krazar ($400), LG Scoop ($250) and a radio power booster ($100) were reportedly stolen from an Orange Street residence Tuesday. A suspect is listed in the case.
Piggly Wiggly reported shoplifting of three cans of shaving gel ($10.29) and two Gillett Fusion razors ($21.74) occurring Wednesday.
Piggly Wiggly reported theft of eye shadow makeup ($2.58) occurring Wednesday.
Traffic report
The Eufaula Police Department reported 14 traffic arrests between Monday and Thursday mornings, including six for no proof of insurance, three for speeding, two each for driving while suspended and improper tag and one for no driver’s license.
They also investigated 11 traffic accidents during the reporting period.
