Copper stolen from business
Custom Concrete reported theft of property occurring Tuesday night. According to a police report, four spools of copper wire, valued at $2,200, were reportedly stolen from the business.
Property thefts
Winn-Dixie reported theft of an unknown amount of money. The report states an employee was ringing up items but then was voiding the transaction and keeping the money. The incidents have been occurring since Oct. 11, according to the report.
A Lane Drive resident reported theft of a Goodyear tire and rim ($50) that was taken from the victim’s storage shed Sunday night.
Title Cash reported theft of $6,000 from incidents involving two employees who were suspected of cashing checks without depositing the money for them.
These incidents have been reportedly occurring since May.
A 53-year-old Eufaula man was arrested Wednesday after being caught stealing several items from Rite Aid.
Miscellaneous
A West Union Street resident reported unauthorized use of a motor vehicle occurring Monday night. A family member has been listed in the case as a suspect.
Police recovered a 2007 Dodge Magnum ($23,000) that was reported stolen from a rental company located in Rhode Island. The vehicle was seen abandoned in the Laney Circle area and police found that it was reported stolen after a resident called to complain about it.
Traffic report
The Eufaula Police Department reported 16 traffic arrests between Monday and Thursday mornings, including five for no seat belts, three for speeding, two for no proof of insurance and one each for running a red light, running a stop sign, driving while suspended, driving while revoked, pedestrian under the influence and improper tag.
They investigated two traffic accidents during the reporting period.
