Tickets are now on sale for Wallace/the Clayton Years to be shown at Memorial Hall May 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. nightly.

This year’s production will include exciting new storylines created by George Wallace Jr. and the addition of new characters to give a fresh twist to this widely applauded play.

The play, written by Clayton native Ty Adams, centers around the early political years of former Gov. George C. Wallace as he embarked on one of the state’s most historical political careers. The emotions felt by his wife, Lurleen Wallace, who is the state’s first and only woman governor, their children, Bobbie, Peggy, and George Jr., during this time in their lives is told in the play. The Wallaces fourth child, Lee, was not born at the time.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from the Clayton Record (334) 775-3254, Clio City Hall (334) 397-2723, or the Eufaula/Barbour County Chamber of Commerce at (334) 687- 6664.
