School personnel, local civic leaders, and 36 energetic Pre-K students participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony recently at Barbour County Primary School for the school's new playground.
“Today the Board of Education and I are extremely proud to christen this playground,” said Barbour County Superintendent Gary Quick. “This is a fine example of how teachers, staff and administration can work together for the common good of our students.”
This ceremony was attended by the following school personnel: Pre-K teachers Lisa Burnham and Evelyn Vinson, teacher aides Bertha Hawkins and Joretha Lawrence, Barbour County Primary School Principal Fred Cooper, Quick and State Department of Education Office of School Readiness representatives Jacqueline Autrey and Susan Barlow.
Representative Billy Beasley and Clayton Mayor Rebecca Beasley were also in attendance.
