Lakepoint fireworks display July 4th

Lakepoint State Park will host its annual fireworks display July 4, beginning at 9 p.m.
The fireworks display will be sponsored by Eufaula Parks and Recreation and will be given by Stephen King of Sky High Pyrotechnics of Columbus, Ga. who has given the display for several years.
The event is free.
Viewers may watch the display on the beaches at Lakepoint and near the tennis courts, according to park superintendent Jim Royal, but picnics and coolers are not allowed. Viewers may bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the display.
