A Eufaula man, Daniel Griggs, 24, of 545 E. Barbour St., was shot three times in an incident that occurred Friday.

Chief Investigator Ronnie Dollar reported Monday morning that the Eufaula Police Department has a signed warrant issued for Bryant Anderson, 19, AKA “Gator” of 113 Triangle Lane in connection with the assault. The warrant charges are for assault first degree, a felony offense.

“We are still looking for him,” said Dollar.

The shooting occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Friday at the Beeline store located on the corner of South Eufaula Avenue and West Boundary Street. Griggs was reportedly walking with two other men to the store when the shooting took place. The two witnesses said they came around the corner of the store and heard Anderson say, “There he is!”

The offender was reportedly sitting in a vehicle and opened fire towards Griggs, discharging three shots.

Griggs and the two witnesses ran on foot back to a nearby residence.

They then discovered that Griggs had been hit with all three shots in his left hand, arm and hip.

More on this story appears in the midweek edition of The Tribune.
