Tractor Supply Company is tentatively slated to open by the first of October.
The business will be located in the building which formerly housed Goody’s on U.S. Hwy. 431 South.
“It will be a great boost to Eufaula’s economy,” said Jim Bradley, executive director of the Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce.
Bradley states the business will hire 15 - 25 local people to work in the store, and the store will draw customers not only from Eufaula and the Barbour County area, but from residents across the Chattahoochee River as well.
“It will become a regional draw,” said Bradley. “I believe residents across the river will be pleased with the company as well.”
And just as the company will draw patrons from both sides of the Chattahoochee, Bradley predicts the store will be beneficial to both local agriculturists and casual gardeners.
“This will be a real boon to the agricultural community,” said Bradley. “As well as to ‘urban gardeners’ and outdoors people.”
