A Louisville youth and a Skipperville man were arrested Dec. 8 on charges of assault and robbery.
Jessie Terel Starks, 17, of 85 Hwy. 130 Louisville and Eric Daniel Eutsey, 20, of 6751 County Road 33 Skipperville were each charged with assault third degree and robbery first degree, a class A felony.
According to Louisville Police Chief Ronnie Benefield, Starks and Eutsey are charged with attacking and robbing a Louisville woman in her home and threatening her 1-year-old daughter.
Benefield stated that the victim had sold the two men a bulldog puppy the previous day. The men returned to her home on Highway 130 Dec. 8 at approximately 10:30 p.m.
“According to the victim, (Eutsey) held a knife to the baby’s throat and demanded (the victim’s) money,” said Benefield.
The child was unhurt, but the woman suffered a two to three-inch laceration on her neck, a black eye and swelling to the left side of her face. Eutsey and Starks reportedly took $600 from the victim.
Starks later turned himself in to authorities; Benefield said that Starks is being tried as an adult. Eutsey was arrested at his Skipperville home.
Benefield said that the Ventress Correctional Facility dog team, the Dale County Sheriff’s Department and the Clio Police Department assisted in the arrests.
