Eufaula man charged with trafficking

Norman Rumph, 43, of A-2 Chattahoochee Courts in Eufaula, was arrested Friday on charges of trafficking cocaine, a felony.

The arrest occurred on McKenzie Street.

Arrest

Misty Diane Spurlock, 34, of 581 Hwy. 30 in Eufaula, was arrested Thursday on Highway 30 on charges of possession of a forged instrument second degree, a felony.

Vegetable matter found

Eleven individual bags of green vegetable matter ($55) were reportedly found Friday at the front sidewalk of Willy T’s on State Docks Road.

Theft of property

» Two welding leads ($400) off a welding machine were stolen from Briar Hill Road Thursday. The victim stated that an unknown person came onto his property.

» A brown wallet ($20), two debit cards, two credit cards and a Compass check book were taken Saturday from a South Eufaula Avenue location.

» Two Yamaha four-wheelers ($2,500) and a deep freezer ($500) were taken Sunday from the 200 block of Willow Oak Court.

» Fifteen feet of copper wiring ($150) and the walls inside a motor home ($1,000) were taken Sunday from the 500 block of Old Clayton Road.

» Theft of property and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle was reported from the 200 block of Lake Drive Monday morning. A CD player ($100) was taken.

Recovered property

» An officer observed a male walking on South Eufaula Avenue at West Washington Street carrying two potted plants.

» The officer later discovered the plants had been taken from Winn-Dixie and returned the plants to the grocery store. The incident occurred Saturday.

Criminal trespassing

» An  offender walked up to the front door of USA Travel with two unknown black males, looked inside and grabbed the door handle before walking away last Friday.

Harassment

» Harassing communication was reported Friday from Triangle Lane. The victim stated that her ex-husband keeps sending her threatening phone calls and text messages.

» A Taylor Drive resident stated that he has been receiving disrespectful text messages from the listed offender.

» Harassment was reported Sunday from West Broad Street. The victim stated that the listed juvenile offender followed her out of a store and began screaming obscenities at her.

Resident missing son

» A resident of the 100 block of T.V. McCoo Boulevard reported Friday that she has not heard from her juvenile son for several days. The mother stated that her son recently left her residence riding in a neighbor’s vehicle and will not take her phone calls.

Domestic violence

» Domestic violence (harassment) was reported Saturday from the 100 block of Colmont Drive.

» Domestic violence (harassment) was reported Saturday from Bluff Park Apartments.

» Domestic violence (assault) was reported Sunday from the 500 block of East Washington Street. During an altercation with his wife, the victim reportedly received a laceration to the right side of his neck.

» Domestic violence (harassment) was reported Monday from the 900 block of Stuart Street.

» A domestic disturbance was reported Thursday from Nancy Ross Drive.

Assault

» Assault and menacing was reported from the Hilltop Lounge on South Eufaula Avenue Sunday. The victim stated that a listed offender held him on the ground with a knife to his throat while another listed offender punched him in the face multiple times. The victim reportedly suffered swelling and redness around both eyes and nose and minor scratches to both arms.

Wallet missing

Lost or stolen property was reported Saturday from Walmart on South Eufaula Avenue. An employee stated that her wallet containing her driver’s license, a Compass Visa debit card and $150 in U.S. currency is missing.

Leaving the scene

Leaving the scene of an accident was reported Thursday on State Docks Road. A vehicle fender ($500) was damaged.

The Eufaula Police Department investigated 11 accidents between Thursday, July 14 and Monday, July 18 and made 48 traffic arrests including 12 speeding, 1 reckless driving, 2 running stop sign, 1 failure to yield, 3 no license, 2 driving while suspended, 3 driving while revoked, 1 improper tag, 6 no seat belts, 1 improper passing, 1 improper equipment, 1 loud music, 13 no proof of insurance and 1 tint.
