Benjamin Pomeroy, 4, of Eufaula died Thursday morning after a valiant nine-month battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church sanctuary. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the church, with burial following at the Sardis Freewill Baptist Church cemetery.

Pomeroy was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2011. His story touched thousands of lives as the Eufaula area rallied for Benjamin and his family. His story made national news last month when volunteers brought snow to the Birmingham hospital where Benjamin was staying.

Obituary information will be published in the midweek edition of the Tribune.
