Marlins rally for one-run win

The Marlins scored once in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge the Braves 6-5 in a Dixie Boys game.
The Marlins trailed 5-1 after 4 1/2 innings but scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the score.
Cody Helms belted a pair of hits to lead the Marlins. Tray Mullis and Chase Bryan added hits, while Dakota Hudson was the winning pitcher.
Luke Ates went 3-for-4 to lead the Braves. Weston Jones had a pair of hits, while Jake Williams went 1-for-3.
In other Dixie Boys action:

Yankees 8, Rangers 3
The Yankees scored five runs in the bottom of the second to seize momentum. Josh Bush and Stephen Colley each had three hits. Joseph Bowick added two hits. Trey Johns also had two hits and was the winning pitcher.
Robert Hamrick led the Rangers with two hits. Cody Dudley added a hit.

Braves 12, Rangers 4
The Braves broke open a 3-3 game with nine runs in the top of the fourth inning.
Luke Ates, Kimball Robinson and Bull Kelly all had two hits. C.J. Upshaw was the winning pitcher.
Matthew Dunson led the Rangers with two hits. Robert Hamrick and Brooks Welk added singles.

Yankees 10, Marlins 1
Jeffrey Thornton pitched a two-hitter on the mound and belted three hits at the plate. Trey Johns added three hits, and Stephen Colley added one hit.
Dakota Hudson and Stephen Dollar accounted for the Marlins hits.

Dixie Minors
Braves 16, Orioles 4
The Braves scored all 16 of their runs in the first inning.
Alex Welsh, Jared Bennett and Calen Ates were the leading hitters. Jake Clark was the winning pitcher.
Baker Trammell, Jackson Parker and Austin Warr paced the O’s.

Dodgers 4, Pirates 2
Dallas Hudson, Luke McCool and Josh Dowd all had big offensive games for the Dodgers. Graham Haney was the winning pitcher.
Sam Price, Adam Shelley and Payton Shankle paced the Pirates.

Braves 5, Yankees 0
Hunter Jones, Alex Welsh and winning pitcher Jake Clark had hits for the Braves.
Mike Lewis, Jay Lynch and Gregory Allen had hits for the Yankees.

Astros 12, Orioles 9
Winning pitcher Daniel Yerta paced the Astros. Matt Voors and Reid Potthoff also had hits.
Baker Trammell, Jackson Parker and Olamide Nelson led the Orioles.

Dixie Darlings
Braves 12, Marlins 10
Laiken Green, Keandria Ivey and Taylor Moss paced the Braves, which scored three runs in every inning. Emily Dunn was the winning pitcher.
Jodie Spivey went 3-for-3 with two home runs for the Marlins. Juliana Dunn went 3-for-3 with a home run while Susanne Hudspeth went 2-for-3.

Marlins 8, Phillies 4
Hannah Teal led the Marlins with two hits. Winning pitcher Jodie Spivey and Sam Baggett added hits.
Monica Williams led the Phillies with two hits. Savanna Woods and Isabelle Warlitner added hits.

Braves 17, Cubs 7
Winning pitcher Emily Dunn went 2-for-4 with a home run. Keandria Ivey went 3-for-4 with a home run and Shamya Rodgers went 1-for-3 with a home run.
Sydney Williams had two hits for the Cubs. Leslie Harris and Jasmine Gill added hits.

Dixie Angels
Braves 10, Dodgers 1
Lara Derrow homered for the Braves. Winning pitcher Laura Turchiano drove home three runners and Payton Jones drove home two runners.
Emma Tyler went 2-for-2 to lead the Dodgers. She also hit a solo home run.

Cardinals 10, Mets 6
Shelby Woods homered for the Cardinals. Winning pitcher Nikki Clark had a hit, while Whitney Watson had two hits.
Hunter Lynn and Anna Brown both went 3-for-3 to lead the Mets. Tylin Wilbourne added two hits.

Dodgers 9, Cardinals 8
Emma Tyler was the winning pitcher, while Kyra Cox and Ahveon Richardson were the leading hitters.
Shelley Beaty had three hits for the Cardinals. Kaelyn Crews and Whitney Watson both had hits.

Braves 11, Mets 0
Winning pitcher Laura Turchiano also had two hits. Jasmine Forte and Lara Derrow both had two hits.
Hunter Lynn led the Mets with a hit.

Dixie Youth
White Sox 8, Braves 5
Winning pitcher Andrew Price also had a pair of hits for the Sox. Jeremiah Forte, Drew Spivey and Bradley Boyce were other players with hits.
Griffin Fenn doubled twice to lead the Braves. Chase Haney, Logan Tew and Cody Rosen added singles.

Ponytails
Mets 8, Braves 1
Jazzlyn Purswell, Jennifer Norton and Kendra Wright all had hits for the Mets. Angel Long was the winning pitcher.
Chelsea Jones led the Braves with a hit.

Diamondbacks 15, Dodgers 7
Whitney Harris and Kimberlyn Doss both went 4-for-4 while Chelsea Maldonado went 3-for-3 to lead the D’Backs. Savanna Head was the winning pitcher.
Dixie Shirah had three hits for the Dodgers. Brittanie Lambert and Candy Shirah added two hits each.
