The Barbour County boys’ basketball team are red hot this summer.
The Jaguars went 7-1 at the Troy University team camp and are 13-2 this summer in three events.
The Jaguars opened play in Troy with a 32-29 win against Class 6A Robertsdale of Baldwin County. Robert Lampley led the Jaguars with 12 points.
Other scorers included Takwain Whigham with 11 points, Jacorey Milton with 5 points, Sheldon Thompkins with 3 points and Joseph Screws with 1 point.
In game two the Jaguars knocked off Class 6A Lee of Montgomery 47-42. Whigham led the team with 16 points. Other scorers included Thompkins with 11, Lampley with 10, Screws with 6, Milton with 4 and Larry Rumph with 2.
The Jaguars’ only loss came to Pace Academy of Florida, 29-24. Whigham led the team with 11 points. Lampley scored 5, Thompkins scored 3, Milton and Rumph scored 2 each and Screws had 1.
In the final game of the evening the Jaguars defeated Charles Henderson 38-25. Whigham led the team with 10 points, followed by Terrance Brooks with 9, Milton with 6, Thompkins with 5 and Darrion Patterson with 3.
On Saturday the Jaguars went 4-0, defeating Daphne 40-28, Crestview, Fla., 54-41, Carroll-Ozark 54-24 and Walton (Fla.) 41-39.
Barbour County was scheduled to play in the Houston County Classic this week.
