Lakeside girls win Ward Invitational

The Lakeside Lady Chiefs won the Ward Holiday Invitational for the fourth consecutive year after edging Crenshaw Christian 52-46 Thursday in Eufaula.
Lakeside (15-3) only led by one point entering the fourth quarter, but held the Lady Cougars to just six fourth-quarter points.
Kasey Grant led the Lady Chiefs with 15 followed by Peyton Brown with 14 and Jasonie Guice with 13. Brown was named tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by Grant, Guice and Lexie Gibson.
