Eufaula native Jerrel Jernigan is a Super Bowl champion.
Jernigan and the New York Giants edged the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl 46, played Sunday evening in Indianapolis.
Jernigan, a kickoff returner who is in his first NFL season, had three kickoff returns for 69 yards, including a 34-yard return in the third quarter. It was his longest return in the NFL.
