The Eufaula boys want to reach the Class 5A Playoffs for the first time in three seasons.
They took a small but significant step toward making that happen on Tuesday. The Tigers won their first area game of the season by defeating host Rehobeth 65-56.
Eufaula (10-7, 1-0) had lost six consecutive games to the Rebels dating back to 2010. Four of the losses, including all three last season, were by single digits. Two of the losses last season were by one possession.
Sophomore Jaylin Robinson played one of his best games of the season in Tuesday’s win. The 6-1 sharp-shooter finished with 26 points. Arenza Johnson also played well as he finished with 15.
More on this game will appear in the weekend edition of the Tribune, available Friday morning.
